I'm writing a book.

I've been working on a book I'm writing for school. The title is "Freedom". Below is the synopsis for the story.

Sabrina awakes in a Detroit holding facility after committing a murder.  She is scared and confused and suffering from partial amnesia.  She has a lot of problems with her cellmates and struggles to stay sane.  Sabrina’s husband Eric and her father are both looking for her.  After a period of waiting, they finally ask the authorities and find out where she is.   When Eric and Sabrina are visiting she finds out that she is pregnant and that her mother is dead.  Eric cannot afford his house anymore, so he moves to New Zealand to live with Sabrina’s dad and step-mom.

Sabrina has more fights and struggles in prison, her best friend then comes to visit her.  Sabrina’s due date draws closer and closer without any prison openings.  Sabrina starts meditating how her Indian mentor taught her and is able to regain some lost memories.  Right before her baby comes she is expedited to New Zealand because none of the Detroit prisons have any room for a mother and child.

She settles into the new prison with some “friends” and one new enemy.  Her daughter April is born.  Sabrina faces internal challenges trying to be a good example to her daughter.  Sabrina and April also face external challenges against Emma who wishes the harm of both of them.  When April is two years old she has to leave the prison by requirement and goes to live with her dad and grandparents.

Unexpectedly, Sabrina’s homicide case is re-examined and she is relieved of her charges and released from prison. She decides not to return to her family because she doesn't want to be a bad influence on April.  Sabrina discovers that her mom is, in fact, alive and needs to ask her dad about it.  She arrives at his house during April’s fifth birthday party and decides to reunite with her family.  Sabrina reaches out to her mother but her mother refuses to contact her back or have anything to do with her.

After Sabrina and Eric move into their own house they have a son.  After she has her son, her mom and step-siblings all come to visit her and they are reunited.  Her mom has finally undergone an internal change and is willing to accept Sabrina for who she is.  Sabrina learns through this and the whole family is strengthened as a whole.

Happy New Year! Welcome 2016. С новым годом

My online presence has been missing for quite a while now.  I've been busy with work and taking care of the animals.  Right now I'm unemployed so I have more time.  I've been pretty sluggish though.  I'm trying to get back on top of training Rio so she will be ready to start riding in July.  About four months ago we moved to a new house.  We all like this house better.  Its outside of town so it feels calmer without the bustle of town life around us.  Rio moved to a new boarding facility thats just down the road now.  I should be seeing her more now but I've been distracted and the days are so short that I haven't seen her as much as I should.

Babies playing.

Rio has made friends with Autumn and Cactus Jack.  They are both between 2 and 3 like her and they have lots of fun together.  I also took Rio for a walk the other day so she would get used to cars more.  It was fun.

Thursday Inspiration Number 11

This reminds me of something my science teacher was saying to us today and something else last week.

Today he was talking about the complexity of our bodies and how they are ALWAYS rebuilding themselves.   He said if our body was a house the size of Texas its equal to knocking down a million walls and rebuilding them every second.

Last week he was talking about how the brain controls every hormonal release in your body.  And by worrying about something that is wrong in your body, you can cause your brain to release the wrong hormones.  However, if you focus on the good things and think about healing you can cause your brain to trigger the release of hormones that will speed your healing.

I'm all for the health movement.  I think we consume way too many things that are bad for us.  However, the constant worry about our health isn't doing us any good in my opinion.

I'M BACK!!

Vacation, moving, and not having internet service has kept me away for QUITE some time.  But we finally have internet set up at our new house as of today.  Some cool things that have happened in my blogging absence are..
  1.  I moved.  (Unless you didn't get that yet)
  2.  I got a new job at a local store.  Its a small store and I work with awesome people and our customers are generally very nice as well.
  3.  We have a family of bears living near our new house that we see periodically.  Its pretty special.
  4.  I just started school again.
  5.  I am not doing any dog training over this winter cause its not working well with everything else I have going on.
  6.  I am writing a novel this year.  Its one of the classes I'm taking through school.  So i'll have a novel written by the end of the school year.

Now I have to go do homework.  I look forward to posting again.  Remember, I love comments!  :)

Thursday Inspirations Number 11. Finding yourself.

This is specifically dedicated to my best friend this week.

#1.  If you are always trying to be normal you will never know how amazing you can be.

#2.  Dear me, before you can truly love someone else you have to learn to love yourself.

If this last one is true, which I believe it is, you need to consider who you want to be and how that person will help the world when you start to create yourself.

Posts may soon go on break again.

We are moving at the end of the month and I'm not sure if we will have internet service right away.  I'll try to keep up with posts as much as I can.  After we move and we have internet service I will start posting reliably again.   Tuesday training tips are officially on break until we are moved.  They take a lot of time and I advertise to get questions.  I don't want to promise anyone an answer and not be able to give it.  But I'm TOTALLY on board to start them again because they are one of my favorites and I love helping people for free.

What am I going to do with my life?

This is a question I've been asking myself lately.  Not in a negative way at all.  I haven't been sitting around despairing about where my life will go and how to find something useful to do.  Rather I've been looking at life and all its opportunities and wondering how in the world I will choose the one that will help others and make me happy.  I want to do something to help people but my gifts are with animals.  After a lot of time spent thinking and comparing I've finally combined everything I love into a "perfect" future for me.    So, here goes my best in describing what my plans are for the future.

Of course, there are always things that could completely ruin or change these plans.  Stock market crash for example.  (This week was apparently the worst week in four years.)  Zombie apocalypse, government population control.  But, I'll never have a chance to make a change or help anyone if I sit around worrying about everything that could prevent me and in the process prevent myself.

My plans may seem too elaborate.  They could have been much simpler if it were not for my strong ambition and drive for power.  I'm fine with a simple job at first, but as time goes on I want to increase my efficiency by employing people and branching out.  I never want to be someone with a strictly paperwork job.  I want to be involved in the bigger jobs and accessible to the public.

  •    The revenue production of the whole operation will be based in a horse boarding operation.   This will be a full care operation with grain, blanketing, turnout, and possibly even vet visits included in the board.  This will be run by a barn manager, grooms, and probably an on site trainer.
  •   On the side will be a board and train facility for dogs.  This may be for the average dog owner or directed towards training service dogs.  This will hopefully produce some revenue as well.  I would employ caretakers to care for the dogs needs while I do the training sessions with the dogs and possibly work with a co-trainer.
  •   The most important part to me will be an animal assisted therapy and rehabilitation center.   This will be for helping people recover from emotional and possibly physical trauma through animals.  I will probably spend most of my time managing this.  I wanted this to be a non-profit which is why I decided to combine it with my other interests.  We would need someone qualified in counseling psychology to help people directly.  I have not yet decided if I would like to become qualified myself or employ someone else.  If I use hippotherapy to help people recover physically I would need a physical therapist to work with.
There are two basic types of animal assisted therapy that I would like to combine in my operation for optimal recovery in both time and fullness.  The first type involves trained therapy animals that go with patients during their recovery process and are a great emotional support.  The second type involves patients working with animals that are going through similar trauma and helping each other recover.  This helps people through their recovery because they have a sense of usefulness and the benefit of seeing someone else struggle through recovery.  The second type also helps animals recover and be placed into homes.  And often the people who help them through their recovery are the ones who adopt them and they go on helping each other after therapy.
  •   Since I would like to apply both types of animal assisted therapy my property would also function as an animal shelter.  We would accept all sorts of animals that need rehabilitation before they can be placed in homes.  As a trainer I would offer direction and the patients would offer support until they are recovered enough to be adopted out.

Better pics from the trip!

Mom sent me pictures from her phone. I'm not going to bother to label them all.  But they are interesting things we saw on our trip.  Again, many of them are from the Earthhaven eco-village.  This post demonstrates clearly that my mom is better at photography than me.  :)  And she also has a better camera on her phone.

The chakras and phases of the moon were on the sides of this bridge.

This pyramid was built into the side of the bridge and had all sorts of cool stones in it.

The kids played a lot of this at grandmas house.
